What is the temperature inside the Ice Hotel? |
||
The Ice Hotel’s four foot thick walls act as an excellent insulator and helps maintain a constant temperature, acting similarly to a “Thermos”. The temperatures inside the Ice Hotel remain between 28° to 23° Fahrenheit (-2° to –5° Celsius). For example, on a very cold day, the exterior temperature of the Ice Hotel may be -18° F or –28° C, however, the interior temperature of the Ice Hotel would not descend below 25° F or –4° C. |

When is the Ice Hotel open ? |

| The Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada opens its doors yearly at the beginning of January and closes them at the beginning of April, when the spring sunshine makes its appearance. | ||
How big is the Ice Hotel? |

The Ice Hotel covers an area of 3,000 m2 (30,000 ft2) composing of 500 tons of ice and 15,000 tons of snow. |

What about bathrooms? |

The Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada, is only 30 minutes west of downtown Quebec City. Located on the site of the Station touristique Duchesnay on the shores of Lake St. Joseph; the Ice Hotel offers visitors and guests a fun-filled holiday with a full array of winter activities to choose from, such as dog sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, sliding, skating, and ice-fishing. |
